May the Fear of the Lord Fill our Land

Dear City Intercessor,

 This week’s prayer is from City-by-City cofounder, Kim Potter, with a timely and important word.

 The Bible teaches us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. 

 It is no mystery that our nation’s leaders and our city and state leaders need wisdom today more than ever before in history. Therefore, we must go back one step and not only pray for them, but pray for the fear of the Lord to come upon those who occupy these offices.

It has become quite obvious that the fear of the Lord is not prevalent in most government offices. This is true in our school boards to our local levels of city, county and state leaders as well as national levels of leadership. However, as we pray and agree, God can release the fear of the Lord upon our cities, each of these specific areas for His glory to be revealed upon our nation.

Hi friends,

Recently, I was caught up in a powerful encounter with the Spirit of the Lord during a time of worship and prayer. Suddenly He showed me 18 specific locations within the United States of America. Why these particular places? I do not have revelation on that, but what I received, I submit by faith and trust that in time the Lord will fully reveal His reasons and more of His plans.

In the meantime, I will be praying strategically and intentionally for these 18 highlighted locations; and certainly the rest of the nation of America will also be in my intercessory cross hairs in the days ahead!

1. New York

First, I saw New York suddenly being brought to its knees in humility and surrender before God.

Then I heard, "The stiff-necked shall be broken, and the land shall be purged, purified and made a resting place for My redemption and reforming power!"

Week #67  The Great Fall...

Dear City Intercessor,

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. As I was praying this week over what we should target in prayer, the Holy Spirit brought the classic nursery rhyme to mind.

All the kings horses and all the kings men, couldn’t put Humpty together again.

What caused Humpty Dumpty to fall? What I saw in my spirit was an image often associated with the rhyme—the “egg head” man. Humpty’s fall was ultimately because of pride.

As I continued to pray, pictures of schools, government buildings and churches scrolled by with the pride flag flying. Pride. These organizations who have made their declaration not only for homosexuality, but to display their pride in pride, have openly set themselves against God.

They will be removed—and it has begun.
