And let’s be honest, none of us think we are willingly in pride or deception. That’s why it sneaks up on us and often manifests as “righteous indignation.” We feel compelled to stand against something and believe we are doing God’s will, when in fact we are actually in opposition to His Will because of deception.

Faith is not achieved by “working it up.” It is not a matter of human will power. Real faith is a matter of trusting a person who has made a promise or a commitment to you.
