Word for the Week - The Book of Revelation, Part 9 - Rick Joyner

We have been talking about the Lord restoring mankind and the earth. In Reelation, mankind falls to its deepest depravity before the Lord comes to rule and restore. He said it would be like “the days of Noah,” which saw the worst corruption and evil the world would experience until the end of this age. In His parable about the wheat and the tares, Jesus said, “the end of the age is the harvest” (see Matthew 13:39).

      In this parable, Jesus was speaking of how the wheat and tares would grow up together. The harvest is when all the seeds that have been sown will come to full maturity, so both the good and evil sown into man will come to full maturity at the end of this age. Then, we will experience evil in its fullness—the full maturity of the sin of man personified in “the man of sin”—and the full maturity of the nature of Christ will be manifested in His people. This is predicted in Isaiah 60:1-3: “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. And nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”

      Most of the books I’ve read and messages I’ve heard preached on the book of Revelation focus on the evil, the antichrist, and the tribulation. By far the most exciting and wonderful thing about the end of the age is what is being done to prepare the way for His kingdom and how the glory of the Lord is going to be manifested in His people. The light and glory of the Lord are going to overpower the deepest darkness, the worst evil. As we see in the prophecy above, the light wins, and the nations will come to the light.  continue >>>

What Is a Wilderness Season?

What is a wilderness season? When we think of "wilderness" what comes to mind is an area that is unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and uncertain. There are no maps, trails, or human conveniences built in. A wilderness is any land that has not been modified or cultivated. It hasn't yet been settled or borne fruit.

In the spirit, this translates to a season in which we are in unfamiliar territory. The path ahead is uncharted, and we are without the comforts we typically lean on. It can be a rugged place where we feel unprepared, or unequipped. It can also tend to feel punishing, though we find in Scripture that the wilderness is actually not a bad thing.

Lawlessness, Division, Rage, Insanity

These spirits are operational in much of our society today. Worse they can be found in some who serve in positions in our government, schools, and even some churches.

And in families.

As we approach Thanksgiving, we know for many there are perhaps challenging family relationships. Whether immediate or extended family, when there is division it can make the upcoming holiday feel like you are walking on egg shells.

So what can we do?

Remember you have the Word of God to declare over your family. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).

I had a powerful dream last night about prophecy. And for those who follow prophetic ministry, and prophetic ministers, you will understand why it is probably no coincidence that this dream comes now. The Lord is inserting a strong admonition into this conversation. We must not allow either the failures of others or the fear of man to quench the spirit of prophecy and rob us of the much-needed and life-changing words of the Lord.

In the dream, my husband (a pastor) and I were in a church service and I was watching a visiting minister praying for a man who had come forward. People were prayerfully watching to see how this man would receive ministry. The prayers being offered were heart felt and sincere, though there was no visible evidence of them impacting the man being ministered to. After the minister was done praying, the man who came forward looked at the minister and cried out, “But, what do YOU SEE!?” It was a desperate plea from his heart for the minister to dig deeper and speak from the depths of the Spirit.   continue >>>

A Competition by the River in Three Days

Recently, I had a peculiar yet powerful dream. It was one of those dreams where I immediately knew God was speaking. If God could put a dream in bold caps lock, this would be it. The urgency and clarity of the dream made it impossible to ignore. I knew that every detail mattered.

In the dream, I walked into a conference setting. The location wasn't grand or large, but it had a massive river flowing beside it. As I entered through the front door, I was immediately confronted by a person. This person began to criticize me, telling me I didn't know what I was talking about, listing their ministry statistics and achievements. They boasted about how God had chosen them for a mighty move of His Spirit, but not me.

Right away, I discerned that this person was operating out of an orphan spirit, striving to manufacture something that wasn't from God. Their charisma, their appearance, and even the way they spoke was familiar—a formula the Church has used for far too long. I stood quietly as they slandered me.  continue >>>

ALL praise glory and honor be to the Lord of Hosts, maker of heaven and earth. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. He is holy, wonderful, counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, prince of peace. And the government shall REST upon His shoulders.

And the Spirit of the Lord says this day.

Isaiah 61:1-8
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] [a]and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. 4 And they shall rebuild the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former desolations and renew the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations. 5 Aliens shall stand [ready] and feed your flocks, and foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. 6 But you shall be called the priests of the Lord; people will speak of you as the ministers of our God. This word has been building up over the last few weeks. I heard a cry from sons and daughters in the land; it sounded like a distressed newborn baby crying.

The Lord said, "I am raising the true fathers and mothers in the earth to bring peace to this generation and provoke them to maturity."

The Church is coming of age. God has been maturing us in many different areas. We are being prepared for the coming years. For those who have yielded to this process, there will be an opportunity to help others grow and mature in areas where they have been stunted. This type of maturity allows people to operate in the fullness of the parental anointing.

This is just a reminder that what happened this week is not about politics. It’s about defeating spiritual wickedness in high places over this nation. To post about the outcome is not necessarily a commentary on any individual or party, but on overcoming the demonic agendas at work in every sphere of our culture.

That being said…if we truly believe we are in a spiritual war, we may have just won a major battle, but the war is not over. Yes, our victory has already been secured through Christ in the heavenlies, but on the ground, we still have work to do. The spiritual adversary that seeks to finish his plans for our destruction, is not going away easily…

It's Time to Contend for Destiny - Karen Hardin, Tulsa, OK - Nov 12, 2024

We are in a window of opportunity. The result of the 2024 election was a miracle. It revealed the mercy of God, even though America deserved judgment. It was the result of prayer and contending for our nation, for America's prophetic destiny.

Now apply that to your own life. Are you contending for your prophetic destiny? If not, you will most likely continue to hit the ceiling of frustration intent on holding you back. But God is calling you to contend for your destiny.

How Esau and Jacob Took Back Their Destiny

Consider Esau and Jacob. Older brother Esau forever walked in the shadow of his younger brother. Jacob took the birthright of the oldest and stole the blessing of the oldest. But both men were given promises of prophetic destiny. However, in order to walk in them, it required they contend for them.

Esau's blessing from his father was his key for breakthrough.

"...But it shall come about when you become restless, that you shall break his yoke from your neck." (Genesis 27:40)

With the word "restless" in this verse, these words could be translated to say: When you decide to take dominion or rule, to take back the reigns.   continue >>>

The Lord has been speaking to me about the adversaries at the gates, and the subtle maneuvers of the enemy. We are on the precipice of a great move of God, and the enemy wants to subvert us from God's purpose and timing! Specifically, the Lord has been emphasizing the need to be discerning and recognize the enemy's tactics to "bless" us by subversion and/or taking a shortcut.

Holy Spirit reminded me of a dream I had some months ago. In the dream, I was on the top floor of a two-story building with expansive windows. It was very dark outside, and I could see the endless night sky full of stars with such depth that I was overwhelmed with wonder. I saw a vast expanse of mountains covered with pure white snow, crystalline and shimmering in moonlight, with a river of fire flowing through the snow, but the snow was not melting.   continue >>>
