Week #79 - Discernent is Essential - Karen Hardin

Dear City Intercessor,

One of the areas that has become glaringly important for us all and in the world is the need for discernment. Over the last year I have watched as we have been duped by politicians and leaders who claim to be one thing, but are not what they claim. I realize that is nothing new. But the frequency in which it is occurring is astounding. ASTOUNDING.

This past week, I learned of at least five people, if I named them you would have heard of them, who are masquerading as Christians and then using Christians, to achieve their goals. It is so disturbing on so many levels. Sometimes we are so naïve and trusting to the point of stupid.

I am personally frustrated that some of these actions/people have caught me by surprise. Have any of you felt that way in the last year? I have asked myself “where was your discernment?” Which IS the question we all need to be asking ourselves. We cannot afford to be tricked, deceived, blind.

I believe discernment in the coming days is going to go from important to a life and death matter. Not just important but essential.

See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. for I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. Deuteronomy 30:15-16

In my first semester as a freshman in college, I stared death in the face while clinging to a cliff almost 100 feet off the ground.  With no ropes, no protection, and no skill, my friend Matt and I impulsively went for an early morning climb before class.  Just think; I was free soloing long before Alex Honnold was even born.

After a radical conversion in the Christian faith during High School, my launch into the unrestrained world of campus life quickly eroded those convictions and resuscitated some familiar demons.  With my fingers one-knuckle-deep in a crack and my feet stacked on a matchbox-sized nub on a near-vertical face; I realized I was perilously stuck — both physically and spiritually.  CONTINUE READING >>>

"We Must Change the Narrative" - Kim Potter, Dayton, TN

Recently, I have heard a statement in my spirit that simply won't go away. It is this: "Change the narrative."

The Power of Our Words

Once again, we are hearing (over and again) negative news concerning this pandemic. Sadly, yet again, Christians everywhere are repeating what they are hearing spoken by news media outlets, the CDC, and other sources; they are repeating what the enemy is saying. I must remind you: life and death are in the power of the tongue, and we eat the fruit of our lips (see Proverbs 18:21). There is great power in our words. Therefore, we must be careful what we say, and what we repeat.

The Bible teaches us how to speak and what to say. In Joel 3:10 we are told, "Let the weak say, I am strong." And in Mark 11:23 it says, "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says."

"Watch the First 3 Months of This Year!" - Kat Kerr

Vision of Donald J. Trump Given on January 15, 2022

On Saturday, January 15, I was driving home in the car when suddenly the Lord showed me Donald J. Trump and then spoke to me, saying: "For he will be as slippery as an eel and the enemy shall not lay hold of him."

Then I saw Donald J. Trump covered in a thick, golden anointing oil, from the top of his head to the soles of his feet, and I saw the hand of the enemy and his demon forces trying to lay hold of him; but the thick, golden oil that covered him prevented them from not only taking a hold of him, but they also had no ability to latch onto him. I saw that the thick oil of God's anointing acted as a powerful, protective and impenetrable barrier against the powers of the enemy.  CONTINUE READING >>>

"God's Fireball of Faith Is Consuming the Root of Fear"

Recently I went into an encounter with the Lord where I saw many people, all across the Body of Christ, paralyzed with fear. I saw a crippling, tormenting fear that these people were experiencing. When I looked closer, I saw that it was actually a "ROOT" of fear. In other words: it was a stronghold of fear.

I saw these ones on their faces, crying out to the Lord for deliverance; crying out for freedom. There was a loud sound of repentance that was flowing from within their hearts, and I watched as tears flowed. There was a deep repentance for fear, a deep repentance for unbelief, a deep repentance for not trusting the Lord, and at the same time, there was a deep, deep yearning for a fresh baptism of fire—the fire of His love.

I watched as the Lord began to stretch them on the inside. The GROAN they were making was creating room for the fresh fire, the fresh impartation, the fresh baptism of fire.
