The Resurrection and the Life
One of the names of Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. In John 11:25–26, Jesus, on His way to raise Lazarus from the dead, declared to Martha that whoever believed in Him would live, even if they died, and whoever lived by believing in Him would never die.
"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die. Do you believe this?'" (John 11:25–26 NIV)
Many are being delivered from spiritual death into eternal life when they come to believe in Jesus. Even untimely, physical death was defeated, as Jesus raised those who had died, like Lazarus in John 11.
Resurrection from Physical Death: An Awakening Behind the Gravestones
I believe, along with spiritual resurrection, there is an awakening from the Lord that is longing to be quickened so that many who have physically died in an untimely way—where their destinies were not fulfilled—will be raised back to life.
Several months ago, the Lord gave me a dream where I was taken in the spirit to a burial ground. I saw many gravestones of those who had died. As I stood there, I began to think of the mandate of the Lord to raise the dead. My heart was filled with great compassion, especially for those whom the enemy had taken out prematurely, who had not fulfilled their full destinies.
