Hope for the Hopeless
Hopelessness is like a slow death. Without something to put hope in and to look forward to, where does the world turn? Without God, the world turns to things that will distract them from the intense pain in their souls. For some it is alcohol or drugs. For others it involves cutting oneself or some other self harm practice. While others fill their emptiness through emotional or physical relationships with someone they hope will love or affirm them. These people are in every nation on earth. They are all around us.
We know that God is the only one who can fill all those dying from hopelessness. Our team members in China and Cambodia are working hard to do just that. Your prayers and support make it possible for these teams to do their work. Thank you.
Here in the States or wherever you may live, you may meet these people in a coffee shop or even at church. I'm sure each of us has family members who are not walking in Christ's freedom and joy for some reason. Let's continue to give freely of the love that God has so freely given us. Expect these lives to see the light in you and begin to change for the good. Whether or not you have an open door to speak truth to them, God will still work through your kind words, your loving smile or good deeds.
At this joy and hope-filled time of year, for some it is their hardest part of the year. But its also true that the opportunities to shine His light are the greatest as well.
In today's first article, so many Chinese are living in fear due to the senseless murders being committed by those who have lost hope and the devil has driven them to lash out at others in violent ways as a way of striking out at society at large. Our own society deals with this type of thing as well, but in the Chinese culture as a whole, there is a great fear of death, unlike anything our own culture deals with. It certainly gives us insight in how we can be praying for the precious Chinese people.
In the second article, the Chinese government continues to strip away religious freedom even for the government approved church. Every sermon has to honor the Chinese Communist Party and its leader, Xi JinPing. Now they must get rid of many of the Christian songs and include more "red" (communistic patriotic) ones. Even as Christians, hopelessness in their situation is probably strong as well. They need our prayers too.
We are praying for you and your family to walk in the fullness of God's love, joy, and peace (shalom) during this Christmas season. We love you and thank God for you.

Update on Trump Court Cases
The lawfare in the courts against Donald Trump has been falling apart quickly since Trump won the election. But that doesn’t mean we should stop praying. This is simply what it means.
1. The lawsuit pursued by Special Counsel Jack Smith, a case of election obstruction, has had a motion filed that would dismiss it for now—with the ability to refile it once Trump is out of office.
2. The classified docs case against Trump, even though Biden was found with classified docs in at least 4 locations during a time when he had no clearance for those documents, continues to scream of the lawfare of this case against Trump. Thankfully, it was finally dismissed!
3. The Georgia Election Case is really now about GA District Attorney, Fani Willis who very well could go to jail for her bias in trying to prosecute Trump and her use of taxpayer money to take vacations with her lover who she paid big bucks and assigned him to the case as well.
4. NY Criminal Trial—similar to #1, they want to postpone this case until Trump is out of office and then try again to make a case to destroy him.
