Strategic Warfare

Lawlessness, Division, Rage, Insanity

These spirits are operational in much of our society today. Worse they can be found in some who serve in positions in our government, schools, and even some churches.

And in families.

As we approach Thanksgiving, we know for many there are perhaps challenging family relationships. Whether immediate or extended family, when there is division it can make the upcoming holiday feel like you are walking on egg shells.

So what can we do?

Remember you have the Word of God to declare over your family. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).

We are living in an age in which there are many voices intentionally speaking to bring division among families. That is Satan’s goal to divide and destroy the family unit. The media constantly seeks to sow offense, pride and anger into the mix, encouraging people to “create their own family” during Thanksgiving.

Do you have family members who have refused to attend Thanksgiving this year because of the political divide? If so, I’m so sorry. That is certainly painful.

But remember the Bible gives us insight in how to pray regarding the division we now see.

“How can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house” (Matt 12:29).

The strongman bringing division right now is pride speaking into the ear of any who will listen so that relationships will be severed. But pride never acts alone. That’s why offense, deception, rage, and fear are also common weapons working with pride and used to bring division and separation to families.

So what can you do if you are facing this division from family and/or friends?
 
Remember this is spiritual warfare of the last days.

Our battle is not against flesh and blood. One thing that is different today more than any other time in the past, is the intensity of the spiritual warfare around the world. I believe that most will agree, WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS. As the real manifestation of God’s Kingdom advances towards the final showdown with darkness, it places greater pressure on the enemy. Anticipation from all parties, God & satan, light & darkness, good & evil, is increasing. The fight on all fronts is intensifying! Even the kingdom of darkness knows their time is short. They are more and more desperate to destroy all they can before they are cast into Hell forever.
 
CUE THE CHURCH! WHAT MUST WE DO?

1.       Know your identity!
•         Understand God’s covenant with YOU! He has seated you in ALL of Christ’s authority so that you can walk in that authority on this earth. There is no one and nothing higher than your position of authority except God. Know it & walk like it.

2.       Know your weapons!
•         Plead/Declare the Blood of Jesus over the situation. That precious blood brought you into family covenant/relationship with God as His child. You are His. All He has is yours.
•         Use the Name of Jesus over any spirit or situation that does not honor God or obey you. His name is your badge of authority.
•         Bind & Loose: Bind the dark spirits and all their schemes from being effective against you and your loved ones. Cast them out/off your loved ones and the situations you face. Loose your loved ones from their influence. Loose those spirits from their assignments against your family. Bind your loved ones to the Word of God they were taught and to the destiny of God for their life.

3.       Know your enemy!
•         The enemy isn’t people but the demonic powers who do not rest. We must always be on guard. We must think & act offensively against them, not just respond to their attacks. If we do this, we won’t be caught off guard as much.
•         If we are caught off guard by an attack, the enemy has revealed an area that we aren’t as guarded and prepared as we should be. Regroup, stand, and take back your authority over that area.
•         Think and live in the spirit as if we are in a war, because we are.
•         Think strategically!
 
VETERANS, TAKE NOTE: Our military veterans should be some of the greatest prayer warriors in the Church. You have been trained in warfare. Take those same principles and apply it to spiritual warfare. Now you must think and live as a spiritual warrior. But know that the purpose of spiritual warfare is to change the natural world around us and the spirits that control it.
  
4.       Know that we win!!!
•         We already know that in the end, WE WIN!
•         Jesus already defeated sin & death. Now we can march on the enemy as a victorious Church, in the power and authority of Jesus. (Isaiah 61:1-2a)

• proclaim good news to the poor.
• bind up the brokenhearted.
• proclaim freedom for the captives.
• release from darkness for the prisoners.
• proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

We still must stand and fight against the Enemy for our family and all of the above parts of our “job description.” If we DO NOT operate in spiritual warfare, enforcing God’s kingdom and will on the earth, then the results above will be limited and much of our efforts ineffective.

Army of God, ATTENTION! It’s time to CHARGE the enemy gates!
Special Forces, you are now dispatched on your mission! DISMISSED!
 
For God’s Kingdom & glory, ON EARTH as it is in heaven!

1. Father God, you are our God. Your kingdom is already victorious. You have chosen to include us in your family and in your army on this earth. Thank you Lord, that you placed us in your family, right beside your Son, Jesus. We bear His name on the earth. We establish your kingdom and will on the earth. Satan, you have already been defeated. You have no power, except what a person allows you to have in their life. In the name of Jesus Christ, we bind your lies, deceptions, and accusations against our families. We say that you no longer have any sway over the minds of our loved ones. Your lies are exposed by the light of Jesus. He is the true light of the world. We loose our family members from your influence now. Whatever stronghold or connection you had over them is broken now, in Jesus' name! They are set free now. They are returning to the arms of Father God now! Thank you Lord, for saving and redeeming us out of darkness into your marvelous light and reuniting our loved ones to us.

2. Lord, God, we continue to lift up President-elect Trump before you. Give him wisdom and understanding in every area needed, from cabinet appointees to foreign policy to the economy, etc. Guard him and his family and his team from all harm. Exalt your name through his administration. Thank you for 4 more years of your mercy on this nation. Help us to steward this time well in how we get involved in our communities and fulfill our civic duties. Anoint us to share the Gospel in ways that draw all men unto you Lord Jesus. 

3. Lord, we pray over leaders in our government at all levels and their staff. We pray over our school leaders and all teachers and staff. We pray over our law enforcement officers and first responders and military personnel. Over our media, our business/economic leaders, and church leadership. Your kingdom come! Your will be done! In every one of these areas Lord. You know every detail. Where deceitful, wicked people want to do harm to our nation and its citizens, expose them O God. Humble them Lord. If they repent, you know your plan for them. If they do not repent, remove them quickly from having any influence in important positions in our society. Lord, you have the right people for each position which will honor you. Do it Lord. Your kingdom come. Your will be done now. In Jesus' Name! Thank you Lord.
