The Isaiah 62 Fast
On May 7th - May 28th, 2023, there is an unprecedented move of God occurring in the earth. Well over 1 million people from many different ministries and nations will be praying and fasting together for Israel. It is being called the Isaiah 62 Fast. I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. Is 62:6 This divinely orchestrated collaboration recently came about in response to a historic prayer initiative called Pentecost 2023 Global Day of Prayer, scheduled for May 28th. A group of 5000+ prayer networks targeting 110 unreached cities have mobilized all of their intercessors to focus on Jerusalem for one 24-hour period. That means that on the 21st day of the fast, over 100 million Gentile, Jewish, and Arab believers from around the world will be gathered around the throne, praying for the salvation of Israel and the Jewish peoples.

There will also be a 24-hour broadcast starting the evening of May 27th and running through the 28th. It will climax with a live, two-hour prayer service on the Southern Steps of the Temple Mount from 10 am - 12 noon (Israel Standard Time) with Lou Engle leading Communion. This will all take place in what is believed to be the same location where 3000 Jews came to faith in Yeshua on the day of Pentecost almost 2000 years ago (Acts 2). Remarkably, before this prayer event was ever known to us, we received a dream from a friend and House of Prayer leader in Atlanta. In the dream, Lou Engle, Mike Bickle and others were in Jerusalem together. It was being said that Lou had been given access to an inner room in the Temple Mount. Just then, a young man from Jerusalem interjected that they were standing on “the pilgrim trail side of the Temple.” This would make the location somewhere near the Southern Steps. Then, in the dream, a meal was served there on the mount.

This is not the first time that we've been given "access" to the Temple Mount in a dream. We believe this speaks to the blood of Jesus that gives us access. Neither was this the first reference to a meal being served on Mt. Zion. For those who have been following The Briefing, you know that a series of dreams referencing Isaiah 25 and “The Great Communion Blood Revival” led to Lou and our team hosting a national Communion service last October at Pikes Peak in Colorado. On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine— the best of meats and the finest of wines. And He will destroy on this mountain the surface of the covering cast over all people, And the veil that is spread over all nations. Is 25:6-7 From the physical location of what is known as “America’s Mountain”, we gathered to the Lord on “Mount Zion… the city of God, the heavenly Jerusalem,'' as described in Hebrews 12:18-24. There, according to Isaiah 25, we shared in the Communion “feast” of Jesus’ body and blood, and appropriated His forgiveness for the sins of our nation. In doing so, we also prayed for the removal of the shroud of death and the destruction of the veil of spiritual blindness that has been upon our people due to our sins. Little did we know that this Communion Service in Colorado was laying a foundation for us to implement these same priestly functions in Jerusalem on behalf of Israel and the globe.

Also, just before the Azusa Now gathering in 2016, Shawn Bolz had a dream that we believe is pointing to this time we are in concerning Israel. In his dream, there was something having to do with the number five. Shawn and Lou walked together for a distance until they arrived in front of the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. The wall was covered with skillfully done graffiti representing each of the past Calls. (TheCall solemn assemblies of fasting and prayer were held between 2000-2018. Five years have now passed since then.) In the dream, angels were working with Lou to make three large cuts in the Western Wall. Shawn was aghast at what was taking place, but Lou assured him, “This is ours. This is our prayer wall.” The angels then attached hinges along the outer two cuts. Suddenly, the wall swung open from the middle as it became a massive double door into a whole new season. We are envisioned that these 21 days of prayer and fasting, culminating in Jerusalem with a global Communion Service, will break something open for Israel and for the advancement of the gospel throughout the earth, as we move towards the return of the Lord.

This brings us back to an important detail from a dream we shared in The Briefing 106 - Remove the Veil. Chris Berglund dreamed that we had to ascend to the highest shelf in the highest room of a heavenly library to find a book called “Keys to Praying for All Nations.” As we pulled down the book, Chris noticed an old man with a long beard sitting at a desk nearby. In the light of a single candle, the man was writing the words of Isaiah 25:7. And He will destroy on this mountain The surface of the covering cast over all people, And the veil that is spread over all nations. Is 25:7

As we begin another extended fast, we are beginning another ascent into the high places of heavenly revelation. We anticipate that God will show us great and unsearchable things that we do not yet know or understand (Jer 33:3). However, what we do know is that contending for the salvation of Israel is key to praying for the other nations of the earth. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “If their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?” (Rom 11:15) Therefore, in these coming weeks of prayer and fasting, let’s ascend the hill of the Lord together as we agree with the heart of God for all of Israel to be saved and for life from the dead to the peoples of the earth. You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. Ps 102:13
